PRINCETON, N.J. — After a thrilling 2024 campaign that saw the host of the Ivy League Tournament come down to the final weekend, the 2025 season proves to be another exciting one as three teams received first-place votes in the preseason poll. Following a vote by members of the media, Princeton has been picked as the favorite to repeat as champions in 2025.
The Tigers landed in the top spot having collected 118 votes, including nine of the 16 first-place votes. Princeton won both the Ivy League regular season and tournament titles last year, posting an overall record of 14-5 and a conference record of 6-1.
Brown lands in the second position after collecting 105 votes and six first-place votes. The Bears posted an overall record of 7-5-5 last year on their way to the title game of the Ivy League Tournament before falling to Princeton.
Harvard (96 votes) was the only other Ivy to receive a first-place vote after a 7-4-5 season. Columbia, the second seed in last year’s tournament, takes the fourth spot with 87 votes. Yale, Dartmouth, Penn, and Cornell claim spots 5-8.
For the third-straight year, the Ivy League will hold its women’s soccer postseason tournament to determine the league's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament. The four-team tournament will consist of the top four teams from the regular season and will be hosted by the No. 1 seed on Thursday, November 6 and Sunday, November 9.
