Three Ivies Named Tewaaraton Finalists, 22 Garner Inside Lacrosse All-America Nods

PRINCETON, N.J. – Following another successful Ivy League men’s lacrosse season that saw six teams in the national polls, three Ivies were named Tewaaraton Award finalists and 22 Ivies garnered Inside Lacrosse All-America honors. The Ivy League was heavily represented on the list of elite players, with all seven Ivy League schools with at least one All-American.

Of the five Tewaaraton Award finalists, three hailed from Ivy League schools, including Cornell's CJ Kirst, Harvard's Sam King and Princeton's Coulter Mackesy. The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the preeminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States.

Kirst was the lone unanimous first team pick across all positions for All-America honors. Kirst was joined on the first team by fellow Tewaaraton Award finalist, Harvard’s King, as well as Cornell teammate Willem Firth. Kirst was also the unanimous Ivy League Attackman of the Year after putting together a historic senior season in Ithaca, becoming the NCAA all-time leading goal scorer in the regular season finale.

Princeton had two teammates featured on the All-America second team, including Princeton's Mackesy as well as Chad Palumbo. Featured on the third team were three student-athletes from Cornell – Ryan Goldstein, Hugh Kelleher, and Jack Cascadden, as well as Princeton’s Colin Mulshine.
