Princeton and Penn Claim First Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

PRINCETON, N.J. — Following a successful indoor track & field season, the outdoor season has arrived as Ivies begin their journey to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. on June 11-14. Individually, Princeton's Casey Helm and Penn's Angeludi Asaah claimed the first weekly awards of the season.

MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Casey Helm, Princeton

  • Won the discus at the Penn Challenge with a throw of 59.90 (196'6").
  • The mark has Helm ranked third in the country.

WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Angeludi Asaah, Penn

  • Had a personal-best discus throw of 56.52m at the Penn Challenge last weekend.
  • Ranks 10th in the NCAA, fourth in the East Region, and first in the Ivy League this season.
