PRINCETON, N.J. – After performances that captured national attention over the weekend, Harvard’s
Sam King (Offensive) and Princeton’s
Ryan Croddick (Defensive) earned Ivy League men’s lacrosse weekly awards.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sam King, Harvard (Sr., A – Baltimore, Md.)
- Had six goals in the 12th-ranked Crimson’s win over RV Michigan on Saturday, including the game-winner with one of his two fourth quarter goals
- Also picked up five ground balls and had two caused turnovers
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ryan Croddick, Princeton (Jr., G – Rumson, N.J.)
- Made 24 saves in No. 4 Princeton’s 11-5 win over Rutgers, which was the second-highest single-game save total in Division I this season
- 17 of his 24 saves were in the first half
