PRINCETON, N.J. – After solid individual performances that included Ivy League wins as well as a top-20 win for Princeton,
Beth Yeager of Princeton (Offensive) and
Katie Wimmer of Columbia (Defensive) earned this week’s Ivy League field hockey awards.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Beth Yeager, Princeton (Jr., M – Greenwich, Conn.)
- Had eight points in two wins for the 18th-ranked Princeton Tigers this week with three goals and two assists
- Opened up the week scoring all three goals in Princeton’s 3-0 win over Penn
- Assisted on two of the Tiger’s three goals in a 3-2 win over No. 13 Rutgers, including the game-winner with 3:54 to play
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Katie Wimmer, Columbia (Sr., GK – Windham, N.H.)
- Recorded her second shutout of the year at Cornell on Friday with nine saves
- Followed that up with 13 saves against Monmouth for a 0.929 save percentage
- Allowed just one across both performances with 22 total saves
