Ivy League Reveals 2024 Men's Soccer Preseason Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – After an extremely competitive Ivy League men’s soccer season in 2023, Penn was picked first in the 2024 preseason poll after a media vote.
 
The Quakers took the first-place spot after receiving 115 points and seven first-place votes, however, Yale, which finished in second with 108 points, received the majority of first-place votes with eight. Penn won the outright Ivy title a year ago while Yale captured the Ivy tournament crown, claiming the Ivy League automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where the Bulldogs advanced to the second round.  
 
Harvard was picked to finish third while Cornell was just behind in fourth, receiving the final first-place vote. Brown, Princeton, Dartmouth and Columbia occupied the final four spots.
 
The Ivy League men’s soccer season is set to begin on Friday, August 31 with five teams in action on opening day. Following the regular season, the four-team Ivy League men’s soccer tournament will take place at the site of the No. 1 seed on Friday, November 15 and Sunday, November 17, with the tournament champion earning the Ivy League automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
