PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third-straight season, Cornell has captured the Ivy League title. The Big Red finished the Ivy League season with a 5-1 conference record, marking the second-straight outright title for the Big Red. Cornell clinched the title today with a 15-10 win over Dartmouth.
Cornell, which has been a top-10 team in the national polls for a majority of the season, is 9-4 on the year. The Big Red earned league wins over Princeton, Yale, Brown, Harvard, and Dartmouth. Out of conference, Cornell earned key non-league wins over Ohio State and Syracuse.
With Cornell’s outright title, the Big Red will also be the No. 1 seed and host of the upcoming Ivy League men’s lacrosse tournament. The tournament will feature top-seeded Cornell, No. 2 Princeton, No. 3 Yale and No. 4 Penn. Tickets for the tournament will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 29.
