PRINCETON, N.J. – The chase for a spot in the Ivy League tournament continued this past weekend and two teams – Yale and Harvard – are still unbeaten in the league standings. Following notable individual performances, Yale’s Payton Bryan (Player) and Cornell’s Mackenzie Parsons (Rookie) earned Ivy League weekly volleyball awards.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Payton Bryan, Yale (OH, MB – Jupiter, Fla.)

• Averaged 4.25 kills per set, hitting .508 on the week
• Began the weekend with 19 kills (4.75 per set) while hitting .643 in a victory at Princeton last Saturday. Her 19 kills came on 28 swings with only one error.
• The night before, Bryan had 15 kills and hit .394 with four digs and two blocks in a victory against Penn.  

 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Mackenzie Parsons, Cornell (Fr., MB – Poway, Calif.)

• Parsons registered 28 kills (3.11 kills/set) on a .379 hitting percentage in Cornell’s last two matches while also registering seven digs and four blocks
• Hit .500 on 18 kills against Harvard
