Week 4 Football Award Winners Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. – Following strong weeks on the gridiron, Dartmouth’s Grayson Saunier (offensive), Penn’s John Lista (defensive), Harvard’s Scott Woods II (special teams) and Princeton’s AJ Pigford (rookie) earned Ivy League football weekly awards.
 
Dartmouth has entered the top 25 in both major FCS polls. The Big Green earned the No. 22 spot in the Stats Perform media poll and the No. 24 ranking in the AFCA coaches poll. Dartmouth, 4-0, is one of four remaining unbeaten teams in the FCS.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Grayson Saunier, Dartmouth (So., QB – Lafayette, La.)
  • In his first career extended minutes, finished 20-of-34 for 276 yards, three touchdowns through the air, leading the Big Green in a huge comeback win over Yale
  • Had 12 carries for 84 yards and two touchdowns rushing
  • Scored the game-tying 32-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to pull even at 37 
     
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
John Lista, Penn (Jr., LB – Fair Haven, N.J.)
  • Led the Quaker defense with 11 total tackles, with a career-high 10 solo stops in its 31-21 win over Bucknell
  • Finished with 3.5 tackles for loss (an Ivy League high this season), losing 11 yards
  • One of his TFLs was a sack
     
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Scott Woods II, Harvard (Sr., PR – Lorton, Va.)
  • Had three punt returns for a total of 74 yards, good for an average of 24.7 per return
  • His 74 yards on punt returns marked a personal best and was the highest total among all players in the game
  • Had a long return of 45 yards, which was a career best
     
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
AJ Pigford, Princeton (Fr., LB – Snellville, Ga.)
  • Produced four tackles in Princeton’s contest against No. 7 Mercer
  • Three tackles were for a loss of yards
  • Had a sack and a fumble recovery
