Harvard Head Coach Jason Saretsky Named Ivy League Men's Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year

PRINCETON, N.J. — Harvard head coach Jason Saretsky was voted the Men’s Coach of the Year following the 2023 Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Saretsky guided the Crimson to the program’s 11th all-time outdoor title.
 
Harvard finished with 203 points, which was 63 points better than second place Princeton. Cornell and Penn tallied 95 and 79 points, respectively, to place third and fourth. Columbia (62), Dartmouth (41), Brown (37), and Yale (27) rounded out the final standings.
 
Chris Balthazar of Columbia was voted as the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet after winning both the 100m (10.39) and the 200m with a meet record time of 20.41.
 
Harvard's Kenneth Ikeji was selected as the Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet after placing first in the hammer throw with a mark of 74.07, which was good for fourth-best in the nation.

Additionally, one Ivy League men’s outdoor track and field student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and in sport as members of the 2022 Ivy League Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-Ivy team. Brown’s Sidarth Raman, Columbia’s Jacob Ireland, Cornell's Tomas Kersulis, Dartmouth’s Jake Dalton, Harvard’s Lance Ward, Penn's Zubeir Dagane, Princeton’s Simen Guttormsen and Yale’s Harry Grindle were each named to the team.
