Princeton's Guttormsen Claims Pole Vault National Championship, Eight Ivies Named All-Americans

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — 11 Ivies competed at this weekend's 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico from March 10-11. The Ivy League concluded the event with one national champion and 11 student-athletes earning All-American honors.
 
Princeton's Sondre Guttormsen was named the National Champion in  the men's indoor pole vault after clearing 6.00 meters (19-8 1/4) on Friday night.
 
This is Guttormsen's second consecutive time being named the men's indoor pole vault national champion, and his third NCAA title overall.

Harvard's Maia Ramsden earned All-America First Team honors in both the women's mile as well as the 3000m run. She placed fifth in the nation with a time of 4:36.54 in the mile, and was back on the podium placing eighth in the 3000m run with a time of 9:16.99.

Cornell's Tomas Kersulis, Harvard's Graham Blanks (3000m and 5000m), Acer Iverson, Kenneth Ikeji, Izzy Goudros, and Alexander Kolesnikoff, Penn's Bronwyn Patterson, and Princeton's Greg Foster and Samuel Rodman all earned All-America Second Team honors.
