PRINCETON, N.J. — In an exciting week of Ivy League women's soccer, Brown, Columbia, Harvard, and Princeton all recorded wins to further shape the standings heading into the final weekend of conference play. Individually, Princeton's Pietra Tordin (Offensive) and Columbia's Paige Nurkin (Defensive) earned this week's Player of the Week awards.
Nationally, four teams are ranked inside the top-30 of the NCAA's RPI metrics as Brown and Princeton are ranked seventh and ninth, respectively. This past weekend, Brown clinched the Ivy League women's soccer title and hosting duties in the upcoming inaugural Ivy League women's soccer tournament on November 3 & 5. Harvard and Princeton also clinched their spots in the tournament.
Tickets for the Ivy League Women's Soccer Tournament will go on sale Tuesday, October 24 at 10 a.m.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Pietra Tordin, Princeton (So., F/M - Doral, Fla.)
- Score both of Princeton's goals in a 2-0 win over Dartmouth.
- Tallied seven shots, six of which were on goal.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Paige Nurkin, Columbia (Sr., GK - Charlotte, N.C.)
- Recorded a clean sheet in Columbia's 4-0 win over Yale.
- Had three saves in the victory.
