PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Following a 2-1 win over Cornell on Saturday afternoon, the Brown Bears clinched the Ivy League women's soccer title for the fourth-straight season. With the win, the Bears also earned the No. 1 seed and will host the upcoming inaugural Ivy League women's soccer tournament on November 3 & 5.
This marks Brown's fourth consecutive women’s soccer championship and 16
th overall as the Bears become the first Ivy women's soccer program to four-peat since they also did it from 1987-90.
Over the course of the last four seasons, Brown has posted an unblemished conference record of 24-0-2. Going into the final week of the season, the Bears are 6-0 in Ivy play and 10-1-2 overall.
Brown has gained national attention throughout the season as they took the No. 11 spot in the initial NCAA Division I Soccer Committee rankings earlier this week.
