2023 IVY LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY TOURNAMENT

PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard and Dartmouth claimed Ivy League weekly field hockey awards after three players helped earn significant victories for their respective programs this past week. Harvard’s Avery Donahue was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Dartmouth’s Ella Bowman and Harvard’s Bronte-May Brough earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Avery Donahue, Harvard (Sr., M – Madison, N.J.)

• Registered four points for the No. 14 Harvard Crimson this week that included an Ivy win over Yale a 6-5 non-conference victory over No. 10 Syracuse
• Had a hand on three of Harvard’s six goals against Syracuse, recording a goal and two assists

 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ella Bowman, Dartmouth (Fr., D – Aldeburgh, England)

• Scored both goals in Dartmouth’s 2-0 victory over Brown, marking the Big Green’s first Ivy League victory since 2018
• Helped Dartmouth hold Brown without a shot for the entirety of the second quarter against the Bears

 
Bronte-May Brough, Harvard (So., D – Uttoxeter, England)

• Put together her first multi-goal game of the season after netting two goals in Harvard’s win over No. 10 Syracuse
• Scored the game-winning tally with under five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter
• Helped lead a defense that fought off three Syracuse penalty corners as time expired
