PRINCETON, N.J. – Ivy League field hockey action continued into week three as both Columbia and No. 15 Harvard recorded shutouts with Columbia blanking Wagner, 2-0 on Sunday and Harvard downing Monmouth, 1-0 on Friday. No. 8 Princeton also pushed No. 1 Northwestern to the limit with a 2-1 overtime decision to the Wildcats on Friday evening.  
 
Following the action, Brown’s Lexi Pellegrino and Columbia’s Katie Wimmer picked up weekly awards.
 
Brown went 1-1 over the week, and after defeating Towson, 2-1 on Friday, fell in overtime to VCU on Sunday, 3-2. Columbia hosted Wagner and defeated the Seahawks by a score of 2-0.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lexi Pellegrino, Brown (Fr., F – Westwood, Mass.)

• Scored a goal in each of Brown’s games over the weekend
• Found the back of the net early in the third quarter to the game in the Bears’ 2-1 win at Towson before burying a second chance shot in a 3-2 overtime loss to VCU

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Katie Wimmer, Columbia (Sr., GK —Windham, N.H.)

• Picked up her second win of the season in the cage behind seven saves against Wagner
• Earned her first shutout of her career
