Day 14 in Beijing Highlighted By Bobsled, Hockey, Cross-Country Skiing and Biathlon

BEIJING -- Day 14 of Ivies in Beijing was a busy one as it featured bobsled, hockey, cross-country skiing and biathlon.

Princeton’s Charlie Volker and his teammate finished 27th overall for Team USA in the two-man bobsled. The duo was unable to advance to heat four, but will be a part of the four-man bobsled event. Action is slated to start Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Harvard’s Nick Abruzzese, Sean Farrell along with Yale’s Kenny Agostino and Brian O’Neill saw their Olympic run with Team USA came to a close as they fell, 2-3, to Slovakia in the first round of the men’s hockey quarterfinals. Agostino set Abruzzese up to score a game-tying goal late in the first period, 1-1. Farrel attempted to give the USA an advantage in shootouts, but ultimately Slovakia prevailed.
Dartmouth’s Rosie Brennan continued her dominance in cross-country skiing as she helped Team USA secure a fifth place finish in the women’s team sprint event.

Additionally, Dartmouth's Susan Dunklee finished out her last Olympic Games strong as she helped to propel Team USA to an 11th place finish in the biathlon women’s relay.
