PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its All-Ivy football teams Tuesday afternoon, following a vote by the league’s eight head coaches.
Yale freshman running back
Joshua Pitsenberger was voted the Ivy League Rookie of the Year. The Bethesda, Md., native rushed for 667 yards and seven touchdowns on 120 carries during his rookie campaign. His top rushing output came in a crucial win over Princeton, which kept the Bulldogs in contention for the Ivy title, when he gained 108 yards and rushed for a score against one of the top rushing defenses in the FCS. Pitsenberger added six catches for 53 yards and one receiving touchdown on the season.
After leading the Bulldogs to an 8-2 overall record and their third Ivy title in the last five seasons, Yale head coach
Tony Reno was voted Ivy League Coach of the Year. Reno guided the Bulldogs to a 6-1 record in league play. This marks his first time earning the honor, which began being awarded in 2014.
