PRINCETON, N.J. – After another action-packed week of field hockey action, Cornell swept Ivy League field hockey weekly honors as Claire Jones (Offensive) and Aerin Park (Defensive) were honored Monday.
 
Cornell highlighted the week as the Big Red posted a 2-0 record with a clean sheet over Brown (1-0) on Friday before knocking off No. 4 Louisville, 2-0 to close out the week. The win over Louisville marked the highest ranked opponent that Cornell has beaten in its 50-year program history. In a huge Ivy showdown on Sunday, No. 10 Princeton earned a key win over No. 15 Harvard, 4-2. The Tigers improved to 5-0 in League play, moved into sole possession of first place in the standings, and extended its win streak to six games, the fourth-longest winning streak in the nation.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Claire Jones, Cornell (Sr., F – New London, Conn.)

• Recorded one goal and two assists across both Cornell victories
• Assisted on the goal in the Big Red’s 1-0 win over Brown
• Led the Big Red to the win over No. 4 Louisville with one goal and one assist. She sealed the game with Cornell’s second goal with just three minutes left in the contest.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Aerin Park, Cornell (Sr., GK – Surrey, British Columbia)

• Earned a pair of shutouts in the cage over Brown and No. 4 Louisville
• Made eight total saves on the week, ranking second in the Ivy League in save percentage
• Stopped seven total shots in the clean sheet against Louisville
