PRINCETON, N.J. – A pair of Columbia football players took home Ivy League weekly awards, presented TIAA, in
Mike Roussos and
Joe Green. Dartmouth’s Nick Howard and Harvard’s Andrew Irwin also claimed weekly honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick Howard, Dartmouth (Jr., QB – Green Bay, Wis.)
- Propelled Dartmouth to a 41-7 victory over visiting Cornell on Saturday with 172 yards on 13 carries, while running for four of the Big Green’s six touchdowns on the day
- His 172 yards are a personal best for the junior and the most yards for a Big Green player in three years
- Is just the fourth Dartmouth player in the last 35 years to run for four touchdowns in a game
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Andrew Irwin, Harvard (Sr., LB – Altoona, Pa.)
- Posted 3.0 tackles for a loss of 12 yards and forced two fumbles in the Crimson's 23-7 win over the Quakers
- Also finished with 1.0 sacks and seven tackles overall
- Harvard's defense held Penn to 267 yards of total offense
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mike Roussos, Columbia (Sr., KR/PR – New Port Richey, Fla.)
- Finished with 120 all-purpose yards as Columbia rallied to top Brown 23-17
- Totaled 85 yards on three kickoff returns including a long of 57
- Had 22 yards on three punt returns
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Joe Green, Columbia (So., QB – Sammamish, Wash.)
- Threw a career-high three touchdown passes
- He finished the day with 176 passing yards on 12 of 22 completions and one interception
- The last time a Columbia player threw three touchdown passes was 33 games ago when Anders Hill threw three vs. Penn on Oct. 14, 2017
