Penn's Steve Dolan Named Ivy League Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year

 PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Penn women’s head coach Steve Dolan was voted Coach of the year for the third straight year following the 2020 Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field. Dolan guided the Quakers to their third-consecutive title. 
 

On the women’s side, Penn totaled 133 points to narrowly edge Harvard (126) thanks to a dominating performance in the final relay of the day. The three-peat is the first time in program histroy that the Quakers have earned three straight titles. Cornell (82.5) and Princeton (68) ranked third and fourth, respectively, while Columbia (64.66), Brown (57), Yale (50.33) and Dartmouth (38.5) rounded out the final ledger.
 
Brown's Zion Lewis was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer of the meet after totaling 14 points in a pair of field events. She won the triple jump on Sunday at 44-1.25 to set the all-time Ivy League, school and facility record, which currently ranks eighth in the NCAA this season. Lewis was also fourth in the long jump on Saturday at 19-6.75 for fourth all-time in program history.  Nia Akins of Penn was named the Most Outstanding Track Athlete for the second straight season and adds that to her collection that also includes the same award in outdoor competition and the Penn Relays College Athlete of the Meet award from 2019. On Sunday, Akins won the 1,000m and Mile races while helping the Quakers earn two points as the anchor in the DMR.
