Bayne, Collodi Take Home Men's Soccer Awards

PRINCETON, N.J. – Cornell’s Ryan Bayne scored the gamewinning goal to earn Ivy League Player of the Week honors, while Columbia’s Michael Collodi registered his first collegiate shutout to earn Rookie of the Week honors.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ryan Bayne, Cornell (Sr., D – Horseheads, N.Y.)
  • Registered two points as Cornell earned a 3-2 double overtime victory of Akron
  • Scored the game-winning goal in the 102nd minute of action
  • Headed the back into the near post to secure the win
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Michael Collodi, Columbia (Fr., GK – Frisco, Texas)
  • Anchored Columbia’s defense to a 1-1 weekend
  • Earned his first collegiate shutout in Friday’s 2-0 win over Monmouth
  • Recorded seven saves in the victory
  • Rank third in saves (22) and saves per game (3.67) among League leaders
