PRINCETON, N.J. – After leading their teams to 1-1 weeks, Cornell’s
Harry Fuller was named Player of the Week, while Princeton’s
Walker Gillespie was named Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Harry Fuller, Cornell (Jr., M – London, England)
- Contributed 5 points as Cornell went 1-1
- Scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Canisius
- Registered an assist against in a 3-2 overtime loss to Syracuse
- Studying environmental engineering with a minor in business. Over the summer he worked as a sustainable plastic packaging intern at PepsiCo.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Walker Gillespie, Princeton (Fr., F – Charlotte, N.C.)
- Registered a pair of goals as Princeton went 2-0 with wins on the road
- Scored the opening goal at Monmouth to even the game at 1-1 off a corner kick
- Put Princeton up 2-0 with a header off a cross in the 18th minute versus Fairleigh Dickinson
- Second consecutive Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors
- Twin brother Richard Gillespie plays soccer at the University of Chicago
