2018-19 Final Learfield Cup Standings
PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League finished the 2018-19 academic year ranked sixth out of 32 Division I conferences in the Learfield IMG Cup standings, trailing only the Power Five. It is the fifth-consecutive year the League has finished in the top-six.
The Ivy League is the top non-Power Five conference in both percentage of institutions among the top-100 (87.5) and the average score of its schools (338.5). Princeton led the way at No. 30, the highest ranking among all mid-majors- by 22 spots. Harvard is next at No. 57, with Penn (64), Yale (74), Columbia (80), Cornell (81), Dartmouth (91) and Brown (118) rounding out the rest of the League.
All of the Ivy League institutions are ranked in the top 50 percent of Division I and the seven institutions in the top-100 is an improvement from 2017-18, when six earned the cut.
The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Director of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in NCAA Championships.
