Yale Learns NCAA Tournament Fate, To Face Boston College in First Round

PRINCETON, N.J. – Yale punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first since 2005 and will travel to Boston College for a first-round matchup.
 
The game is set for Thursday, Nov. 21 and the winner will advance to take on the sixth seed Washington in Seattle.
 
Yale clinched its first Ivy League title since 2005 and the program's first outright title since 1991. The Bulldogs finished the 2019 season 13-2-2 overall and 6-1 in league play. The 13 overall wins match the 1999 team for the most in school history and the six league victories tie the 1989 team for the most in Yale history.
 
The Bulldogs are making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2005, boasting a 5-6-0 all-time record in its 11 appearances. The Ivy League has won 13 NCAA tournament games over the last decade, including four third-round appearances.
