Penn's Bartel, Rosener Sweep Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. – After helping Penn to two straight wins, including a win over No. 24 Yale, senior midfielder Brandon Bartel and freshman midfielder Jack Rosener claim this week’s Ivy League men’s soccer awards.
 
Brandon Bartel, Penn (Sr., M – Fleming Island, Fla.)
  • Helped Penn to a 2-0 week and a share of the Philadelphia Soccer Six title, the program’s first since 2014 with its overtime win against Drexel
  • Netted the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 105th minute to lift Penn past Ivy League-leading and 24th-ranked Bulldogs
  • Helped the Quakers to its first win over a ranked opponent since 2010
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jack Rosener, Penn (Fr., M – McLean Va.)
  • Helped Penn to a 2-0 week and a share of the Philadelphia Soccer Six title, the program’s first since 2014
  • Netted the game-winner – his first career goal - in overtime versus Drexel
  • Helped the Quakers defeated the league-leading No. 24 Bulldogs for Penn’s first win over a ranked opponent since 2010.
