Rawlings, Traynor, Felkins & Stebbins Reap Football Weekly Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League concluded non-conference play 16-8 (.667), headlined by Yale’s come-from-behind victory over Richmond Saturday. Dartmouth (5-0, 2-0 Ivy) and Princeton (5-0, 2-0 Ivy) remain unbeaten entering the five-week race to the Ivy League football title, while Harvard (4-1, 2-0 Ivy) and Yale (4-1, 1-1 Ivy) sport just one blemish this season. 

Each of this week’s award winners is a repeat recipient in 2019. 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kurt Rawlings, Yale (Sr., QB – Bel Air, Md.)
  • Led Yale to a come-from-behind 28-27 victory at Richmond
  • Threw a pair of touchdown passes over the final 1:23 to turn a 27-14 deficit into a 28-27 win
  • Tallied 249 yards and four touchdowns on 24-for-42 passing 
  • Tied Alvin Cowan’s Yale program record with his 41st career touchdown passes
  • Father, Keith, played football at Towson and Salisbury 
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Jack Traynor, Dartmouth (Sr., LB – Lake Forest, Ill.)
  • Picked off a pair of passes in Dartmouth’s 49-7 win at Marist 
  • Accumulated 93 interception return yards, including a 55-yard touchdown return
  • Added two tackles in first-half action 
  • Sat out the second half with the game well in hand 
  • Is the 13th player to serve as captain more than once in Big Green history 
 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alex Felkins, Columbia (Fr., K/P – Tulsa, Okla.)
  • Helped Columbia to its largest win in a homecoming game and its largest victory over Penn, 44-6 
  • Went 5-for-6 on PATs, with the lone miss coming on a blocked attempt
  • Converted a 43-yard field goal
  • Posted six touchbacks in seven kickoffs

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 
Jake Stebbins, Cornell (Fr., LB – Cranberry Township, Pa.)
  • Registered six tackles in Cornell’s 21-20 loss to Colgate
  • Carded 2.0 tackles for loss, including a sack
  • Forced a fumble on a strip sack that led to a Big Red touchdown for the second-straight week
  • Paces the Big Red with 5.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles on the season
