PRINCETON, N.J. -- After leading her team to a 2-0 week, including a decisive 4-0 victory over ACC foe Syracuse, Harvard freshman Sophie Hirst was named Ivy League women’s soccer Player and Rookie of the Week.
 
PLAYER/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Sophie Hirst, Harvard (Fr., F – Seattle)

• Finished the week with two goals in two games as the Crimson went 2-0
• Scored the game’s first goal, and eventual gamewinner, in Harvard’s 4-0 win over Syracuse
• Netted the game’s only goal in her team’s 1-0 win over Quinnipiac
• First Ivy to be named Player and Rookie of the Week since Brown’s Celia Story and Princeton’s Mimi Asom shared the honors on Oct. 26, 2015
• Ranked the No. 24 recruit in the class of 2018 by Top Drawer Soccer
• Volunteered at Second Sunday meals and a youth tutoring program
