, N.J. – Cornell handed Harvard its first Ivy League loss of the season to register a weekly award sweep. Jeff Teat was name Player of the Week, while Jonathan Donville earned Rookie of the Week.

2018 IVY LEAGUE MEN'S LACROSSE TOURNAMENT
The 2018 Ivy League Men’s Lacrosse Tournament, which features the top four teams in the final standings, will be held at Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium on the campus of Columbia for the first time, May 4 and 6. It’s the first time in the history of the event that the tournament will take place at predetermined site. A variety of ticket offerings – including tournament passes and single sessions are on sale online at GoColumbiaLions.com/tickets or by calling the Columbia Ticket office at 888-LIONS-11.

LEAGUE NOTES:
  • Yale clinched the first of four spots to the 2018 Ivy League Lacrosse Tournament with its 17-7 win over Dartmouth. The four-team tournament will be played May 4 & 6 at
    Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium on the campus of Columbia for the first time.
  • The Ivy League is 7-12 against teams currently ranked in the top-20. Brown (1-1) and Cornell (2-2) boast a 50.0 winning percentage against ranked teams
  • Eight Ivies from five institutions were named Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-Americans. Four student-athletes – Jeff Teat (Cornell), Ben Reeves (Yale), Tyler Warner (Yale) and Christopher Keating (Yale) – were named to the first-team.
  • The Ivy League’s eight candidates on the 2018 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, rank third among all conferences, trailing only the Big Ten (19) and the ACC (13). The League has boasts six finalists over the past five years, including the Brown’s Dylan Molloy, who won the award in 2016.
  • The Ivy League is one of three conferences with two teams ranked, joining the Big East and America East. As a conference, it ranks tied-for fourth behind the Big Ten (5), ACC (4) and Patriot League (4)
  • No. 9 Cornell will play two key nonconference matchups this week against No. 7 Syracuse (April 10) and No. 18 Lehigh.
  • The Big Red have scored 80 goals in their last four games to lead the country in four offensive categories – scoring offense (15.30), points per game (25.80), assists per game (10.50) and shot percentage (.418).
  • Cornell’s Jeff Teat leads the country with 6.50 points per game. Teat’s 12 points versus Harvard matched a career high and ranks third all-time in Cornell history for points in a single-game. The sophomore is one goal away from reaching 30 goals and 30 assists on the season for the second consecutive season.
  • ?Princeton’s Michael Sowers paces the country with 4.00 assists per game and is third in points per game with 6.00 points per game. Sowers turned in nine points in the win over Stony Brook, marking the fourth time in 24 games he has amassed nine points. The sophomore is the first Princeton player with four games of at least nine points.
  • Four of this week's games will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network, which is now available on Apple TV, Roku and the ILN app for Apple and Android devices. The network can be found at IvyLeague.TV and IvyLeagueNetwork.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jeff Teat had a hand in 12 of Cornell’s 15 goals as the Big Red handed Harvard its first Ivy League loss of the season, 15-11.
 
Teat, an Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American, registered 12 points on four goals and eight assists to match a career high and move into third on the all-time list in Cornell history for points in a single-game. It was also just one point off the Ivy-only record, set by John Walters in 1962. Teat's eight assists also set a personal-best and ranks fourth in Big Red history for assists in a single-game. The eight assists were the most by a Cornell player since Andrew Collins handed out eight helpers vs. Yale in 2003. 


 
This marks the third weekly award for Cornell in 2018 and the second Ivy honor of the season for Teat, who was tabbed Player of the Week for the week of March 26.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jonathan Donville registered six points as Cornell handed Harvard its first Ivy League loss of the season, 15-11, to earn Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
 
As a member of the second offensive midfield, Donville matched a career-high with three goals to help the Big Red hand Harvard its first Ivy League loss of the season. All three of his goals came in a span of just under 17 minutes as the Big Red expanded its two goal lead (8-6) to a six goal advantage (13-7).


 
This marks the first Ivy honor for Donville, who has 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points during his rookie campaign.
