NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Harvard women’s track and field team clinched its fourth-straight Ivy League Heptagonal Championship, pulling away from Penn and Princeton on Sunday at Yale’s Cuyler Field and Dwyer Track in New Haven, Conn.

The Crimson totaled a program-record 164 points, the highest total by any team since Cornell finished with 165 in 2008, coincidentally also at Yale. Penn placed second with 125 points, its best finish since taking second in 2006 and highest points total since recording 136.5 in 1986. The Tigers were third with 103 points, followed by Columbia (97), Dartmouth (60), Cornell (59.5), Brown (44.5) and Yale (29).

Harvard sophomore Gabby Thomas was the unanimous pick for Most Outstanding Track Performer after winning the 100m and 200m and running on the winning 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. She also claimed the long jump title to become the first Ivy to win three non-relay events at Ivy Heps since Dartmouth’s Abbey D’Agostino in 2014.

Princeton senior Allison Harris was selected Most Outstanding Field Performer after clearing 13-10 ½ in the pole vault to set the all-time Ivy League record en route to her second-straight outdoor title.
