IRA Release

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League totaled 137 men's heavyweight and lightweight student-athletes receiving 2016 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) All-Academic distinction, as announced by the IRA Board of Stewards.

A total of 336 student-athletes from 37 institutions were honored, with Yale tying Drexel with having the most heavyweight student-athletes honored with 17 each. The Bulldogs had the most lightweight student-athletes recognized with 11.

For a student-athlete to be eligible, he or she must be at least a sophomore in standing and completed one full year at his or her respective institution, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.35 or higher, earn an institutional letter and compete at the 2016 IRA National Championships.
