ITA Academic Honors Covered with Ivy
ITA All-Academic Release: Men | Women
PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) honored 14 of the 16 Ivy League squads with All-Academic Team honors and 76 Ivies with Scholar-Athlete accolades for the 2014-15 season.
Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard and Princeton saw both their men's and women's squads on the All-Academic Team list, while the Penn women and Yale men also earned the honor.
Individually, Brown led on the women’s side with seven scholar athletes, with Cornell and Yale leading on the men's side each with nine student-athletes honored.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
