Men's Rowing All-Ivy, Postseason Awards Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The inaugural Coaches of the Year and heavyweight and lightweight All-Ivy teams for Ivy League men's rowing were announced following the 70th Eastern Association of Rowing College (EARC) Sprints on May 17.

Steve Gladstone was named the League's Heavyweight Coach of the Year after leading Yale to its first Ivy title since 1982. In his fifth season in New Haven, Gladstone has guided the Bulldogs to improvements each year, culminating in the program's seventh League title this year.

Chris Kerber garnered Lightweight Coach of the Year honors as he has led Cornell to consecutive Ivy titles and consecutive undefeated regular seasons. Kerber has the Big Red in position to win its second-straight Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) national championship.

The All-Ivy teams are determined by the finishes in the heavyweight and lightweight varsity eight grand finals. Rowers in the first Ivy League boat to cross the finish line are named first-team All-Ivy and members of the second Ivy boat to finish are named second-team All-Ivy.
