Men's Indoor Track & Field December Recap
PRINCETON, N.J. -- While the bulk of the
2010-11 indoor track and field season takes place after the New
Year, five of the eight Ivy League squads participated in a single
meet in December. Highlights from each meet can be found below,
while full recaps and results are also available.

The Bears opened the indoor season by hosting the Alden
Invitational at the Olney Margolies Athletic Center. Brown took
five individual titles including Evan Weinstock in
the 55-meter dash (6.59), Nate Elder in the
600-meter run (1:22.07), Sean Ingleman in the pole
vault (4.26m), Kenneth Thompson in the long jump
(6.20m) and Daniel Smith in the shot put
(16.44m).
Cornell @ Cornell Relays, Ithaca, N.Y. | Full Recap | Results
The Big Red hosted 17 schools and eight club teams at the Cornell
Relays in Barton Hall, finishing the day with six event wins,
eleven IC4A qualifiers, a school record, a freshman record and six
alterations to the all-time top 10 lists. Nick
Huber led the way with a school record in the heptathlon,
a score of 5,370 points. Meanwhile, Josh Cusick
was second in the heptathlon in an IC4A-qualifying total of 4,928,
No. 6 all-time at Cornell. Chris Bain won the
60-meter dash in 6.79 (No. 2 all-time), Kinsley
Ojukwu was second in 6.80 (No. 3 all-time) and
Jeddidiah Yiadon-Adarquah was third in 6.89 (No. 6
all-time). In field events Bob Belton set a
personal best in the weight throw (60-10 ½), good for No. 10
all-time at Cornell.
Harvard @ Harvard Open, Cambridge, Mass. | Full Recap | Results
Harvard took one first-place finish and had a number of solid
performances as it opened the indoor season by hosting the Harvard
Open at the Gordon Track & Tennis Center. Darcy
Wilson won the one-mile run in a time of 4:17.21, edging
second-place finisher Curtis Trueb of Bentley by .05 seconds.
Princeton @ New Year Invitational, Princeton,
N.J. | Full Recap | Results
Austin Hollimon lowered his own Princeton school
record as the Tigers’ opened the indoor season at their own
New Year Invitational. Hollimon trimmed .20 seconds off his best
time in the 300-meter dash, lowering the school record to 33.68.
Kashif Smith won the 60-meter dash (6.91) and
Damon McLean won the long jump (7.22m).
Yale @ Lidlifter Invitational, New Haven, Conn.

Yale hosted the Lidlifter Invitational at Coxe Cage and came away
with number strong performances, including Matt
Bieszard’s win in the 400-meter dash (49.53).
James Shirvell won the one-mile in 4:21.86 and
Matt Bogdan won the 3,000-meter run in 8:53.70.
The Bulldogs’ 4x800-meter relay team also took top standing
with a time of 8:00.06.
