Dartmouth freshman Lia Constantine registered two goals as the Big Green posted a 2-0 record, including its first Ivy League win since 2015.
At Fairfield, Constantine’s marker in the 61st minute proved to be the game winner as the Big Green downed the Stags, 3-2. The rookie finished off a loose ball rebound to put Dartmouth ahead for the first time in the game. The Fredericksburg, Va., native scored her second goal of the week and of the season in the opening minutes of the game. With the score knotted at the end of regulation and two overtime periods, Dartmouth held on for its first shootout victory since last year when the Big Green defeated Bryant, 3-2.
This marks the first career honor for Constantine and the first for Dartmouth since Anna Rowthorn-Apel took home the honor on Oct. 7, 2014.
