Brown senior defensive end Richard Jarvis (Watertown, Mass.) was a force to be reckoned with all game, recording 4.0 sacks in the Bears’ win over Bryant. His last sack came on the Bulldogs’ final drive with under a minute remaining to help the Bears preserve their 28-23 win.
Jarvis, who interned in a hospital in New York City last spring and plans to attend medical school once his football career ends, picks up his first career Ivy League weekly award. He is the first Bear to be named Defensive Player of the Week since Will Twyman on Oct. 19, 2015.
