In his first career start, Yale forward Aldo Quevedo tallied a goal and an assist as Yale posted a 3-0 win over Howard. It marks Yale’s largest margin of victory in a non-conference game since a 4-1 win at Sacred Heart in 2013.
Quevedo helped put the Bulldogs on the board at the 22:57 mark, when he found teammate Ryan Matteo in front of the net. 13 minutes later, Quevedo tallied his first career goal when Lucas Kirby sent a perfect throw in to the rookie, who raced towards the goal. Howard’s keeper stopped Quevedo’s first shot, but couldn’t get in the way when the rebound came right back to the Dallas native.
Quevedo receives the first Ivy Lague weekly award of her career is the Bulldogs first Rookie of the Week honoree since Henos Musie on November 4, 2013.
