Senior Carol Middough has led the Bulldogs in scoring for each of the past two years – and based on Yale’s season opener against Sacred Heart, she is in good position to accomplish that feat again.
Middough scored the Bulldogs’ first two goals of the season, helping the team build a 4-0 lead in the first half. Then, after Sacred Heart closed within 4-2, Middough tacked on an insurance goal for the hat trick. Yale posted a 6-2 win over the Pioneers.
Middough, a two-time All-Ivy selection, adds her third Ivy League Player of the Week nod to her list of conference accolades. Yale received one Rookie of the Week award in 2016, with Allie Carrigan taking home the honors Oct. 24.
