Maddie Bacskai’s goal with 12 minutes to go in regulation proved to be the game-winner as No. 14 Princeton clinched the outright Ivy League Championship with a 2-1 victory over Penn.

In the 47th minute, the Tigers executed a corner as Bacskai earned her third tally of the year. Clara Roth inserted to Julianna Tornetta, who stopped it for her sister. Bacskai deflected the shot from Sophia Tornetta into the back of the cage to give Princeton the 2-1 lead.

With the win, Princeton finished Ancient Eight action undefeated for the sixth time in the last 10 season and clinched its 25th Ivy League title. The Tigers will take on No. 4 Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m.
