    A day after battling the nation's fourth-ranked team to within three runs, the Ivy League champion Princeton softball team saw its 2017 season come to an end with an 10-2, six-inning loss to Jacksonville State on Florida State's home field Saturday afternoon before 1,153 fans.

    A big day at the plate and in the circle for Olivia Giaquinto helped lift Harvard softball (22-17, 13-7 Ivy League) to a doubleheader sweep of Dartmouth (11-28-1, 10-10 Ivy League) and a second consecutive Ivy League North Division title. The Crimson won by scores of 8-4 and 8-0 (five innings) to clinch the seventh division title in program history and a rematch with Princeton in the Ivy League Championship series.

    For all the scenarios heading into the weekend, the Ivy League Championship Series is now set. The Princeton softball team, winner of the Ivy South division, will host Harvard, winner of the Ivy North division, next Saturday at 1 p.m. for a pair at the Class of 1895 Field. If that doubleheader is split, the teams will come back Sunday at 1 p.m. for a winner-take-all game for the Ivy title and the NCAA tournament bid.

Princeton freshman outfielder Megan Donahey shared the Rookie of the Week award with Almer.

    Princeton sophomore infielder Kaylee Grant was tabbed as the Player of the Week after leading the Tigers to a 4-0 start in Ivy League play for the first time since 2008. For just the second time in program history, Columbia also opened Ancient Eight play with an unblemished 4-0 mark. The Lions claimed a pair of weekly awards—freshman pitcher Madison Canby earned the Pitcher of the Week nod and shared Rookie of the Week honors with freshman outfielder Sommer Grzybek.

Princeton senior pitcher Erica Nori was selected as the Pitcher of the Week after tossing a seven-inning no-hitter on March 18 against North Dakota.
