Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards - Week 4

PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton’s Zach Currier was named Ivy League Player of the Week, while teammate Michael Sowers earned Rookie of the Week after helping the Tigers defeat No. 3 Johns Hopkins, 18-7.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior Zach Currier (Peterborough, Ont.) was dominant in Princeton’s 18-7 win over No. 3 Johns Hopkins. The senior won 15 of his last 17 face-offs, including 6-for-6 in the second quarter and 7-for-7 during Princeton’s 10-0 run that broke open the game. Currier finished the game with three assists for three points, 10 groundballs while causing one turnover.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Princeton’s Michael Sowers (Dresher, Pa.) registered two goals and two assists in Princeton’s 18-7 win over No. 3 Johns Hopkins. Sowers found the back of the net during the first 20 minutes of action as Princeton began to build its lead. The rookie also tallied two groundballs in the win.
