PRINCETON, N.J. –  After solid weekend outings, Brown’s Laurel Moody (Player), Brown’s Alexis Guevara (Pitcher) and Cornell’s Charliza Cai (Rookie) earned weekly Ivy League softball honors.  
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Laurel Moody, Brown (Sr., C/3B – Carlsbad, Calif.)

• Led the Bears at the plate over the weekend, hitting .462 and slugging .846 in four games over the weekend. Moody finished the weekend with six hits, two doubles, a home run and four RBI.
• Had at least one hit in three of the four games, and in Brown’s game against Lipscomb, Moody finished with five hits, two doubles, and four RBI.

 
 PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Alexis Guevara, Brown (Sr., P – Chula Vista, Calif.)

• Dominated in the circle, finishing the weekend with a 0.69 ERA in 13.0 innings pitch, striking out nine batters while holding opponents to a .133 batting average
• Threw a complete-game shutout against Lipscomb, allowing just two hits while allowing just four hits and one run against Belmont

 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Charlize Cai, Cornell (Fr., UTIL – Folsom, Calif.)

• Was 7-for-16 (.427) this weekend with her first career home run while also recording a double
• Tallied nine RBI, six runs scored and one stolen base.
• During the win over URI, Cai hit the go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to break a 2-2 tie
• Scored the tying run in the bottom of the ninth in Cornell’s 4-3 win over Holy Cross
