COMPLETE LIST OF INSIDE LACROSSE MEDIA ALL-AMERICA TEAMS

PRINCETON, N.J. –
11 Ivy League student-athlete from four institutions were named Inside Lacrosse Media All-Americans as announced Sunday night as the first weekend of NCAA Championship play concluded.

Cornell and Yale became the first pair of Ivies to advanced to the Quarterfinals in the NCAA Championship since 2013. The Big Red defeated Syracuse, 10-9, while Yale topped Massachusetts, 15-13, in first-round action.

Established in 2017, the Inside Lacrosse Media All-Americans are selected by more than 20 members of the media who cover lacrosse regularly and are tasked with honoring the highest performers this spring.

Yale led the way with five student-athletes earning All-America status, followed by Cornell (3), Princeton (2) and Penn (1).

Yale, the 2018 Ivy League Champions produced a trio of All-America First Team honorees in senior Ben Reeves, senior short stick midfielder Tyler Warner and freshman defender Chris Fake. Cornell, the 2018 Ivy League Tournament Champions, was represented by sophomore attackman Jeff Teat.

Reeves, a finalist for the 2018 Tewaaraton Award, paces the Bulldogs with 96 points on 53 goals and 43 assists. The two-time Ivy League Player of the Year registered six points in Yale’s first NCAA opening round win since 2013 and first in New Haven since 1990.

A First-Team All-Ivy honoree, Warner has played a key role in the midfield for the Bulldogs picking up 41 groundballs and forcing 14 caused turnovers. The senior also chipped in three goals and one assist.

Fake, the 2018 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, started all 17 games for the Bulldogs tallying 26 ground balls and forcing 16 caused turnovers.

Teat, a unanimous First-Team All-Ivy selection, led unseeded Cornell to a 10-9 victory of eighth-seeded Syracuse at the Carrier Dome to advance to the Quarterfinals for the first time since 2013. The sophomore attackman ranks second in the nation in both points (6.00) and assists (3.69) per game. Teat is one of just three players in Cornell history to post 30-goal, 30-assist seasons and one of just four to mass 70 points in back-to-back campaigns.

Cornell goalie Christian Knight was a second team All-America honoree. Three Ivies – from three different programs – earned Third Team accolades: Princeton sophomore attackman Michael Sowers, Yale senior faceoff specialist Conor Mackie and Penn senior long stick midfielder Connor Keating. Princeton senior midfielder Austin Sims, Cornell junior midfielder Jake McCulloch and Yale senior defender Chris Keating earned Honorable Mention recognition.

Yale will take on Loyola at Hofstra on Saturday, May 19 while Cornell will head south to Annapolis, Md., to take on top-seeded Maryland in the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship. Both games will be televised on ESPNU.
