PYEONGCHANG, South Korea -- A pair of Ivies,
Evan Weinstock and
Josh Kirkpatrick, concluded the League’s Olympic journey in PyeongChang in 4-man bobsled competition on Sunday, Feb. 25.
The United States team of Codie Bascue, Brown track & field alumnus Weinstock, Steven Langton and Samuel McGuffie placed ninth with a cumulative time of 3:17.28—.90 seconds out of medal contention. The quad crossed the line in 49.08 (8th overall) in Heat 3 and went 49.56 (4th overall) in Heat 4.
The Canadian sled of Nick Poloniato, Cameron Stones, Cornell track & field product Kirkpatrick and Ben Coakwell finished 12
th with a cumulative time of 3:17.81. The No. 2 Canadian sled went 49.51 (14th overall) in Heat 3 and 49.67 (11th overall) in Heat 4.
