PYEONGCHANG, South Korea -- The United States men’s ice hockey team, which features six Ivies—five athletes and one assistant coach—earned its first victory of the 2018 Winter Olympics to highlight the eight Ivy appearances on Friday, Feb. 16.

Ryan Donato was the man of the night for the United States, scoring a pair of power-play goals in a 2-1 victory over Slovakia to put Team USA back on top of Group B with four points.

Brian O’Neill (12:46) also featured in the win, with Arcobello picking up an assist on Donato’s game-winning goal in the third period.

In cross-country skiing, Bermuda’s lone Olympian—Dartmouth skiing product
Tucker Murphy—finished 104th in the 15km free with a time of 43:05.7.
In alpine skiing, Dartmouth alum
Andrew Weibrecht appeared, but did not finish, in the super-G. He is a two-time Olympic medalist in the event, having won bronze in Vancouver 2010 and silver in Sochi 2014.
