Chris Wielgus, Dartmouth

Chris Wielgus, the winningest coach of any Big Green women’s program with a career record of 393-342 (.535), guided Dartmouth to 12 Ivy League titles and seven trips to the NCAA Tournament during her two stints spanning 28 seasons as the program’s head coach (1976-84 & 1993-2013). She trained seven Ivy League Players of the Year, eight Ivy League Rookies of the Year and 81 All-Ivy selections.
 
Wielgus coached Dartmouth in its first Ivy League season in 1976-77 and guided the Big Green squad that earned the Ivy League’s first NCAA Tournament berth in 1982-83. She also led Dartmouth to its most recent Ivy League crown and NCAA Tournament appearance during the 2008-09 season. 
 
A 1974 graduate of Springfield College, Wielgus also served as the head coach of Fordham University from 1991-93. She was inducted into Dartmouth’s Wearers of the Green, essentially Dartmouth’s athletics hall of fame, in 1989, the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Springfield College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007.
