PRINCETON, N.J. -- A total of 25 former #IvyFootball standouts worked their way onto NFL rosters at the start of training camp, looking to earn a spot on the active roster for the 2017-18 season.
The 25 Ivies on training camp rosters is believed to be the most in League history, surpassing the mark of 24 set last season. That number has since grown to 27.
Harvard started training camp with a total of 13 former Crimson dotting NFL rosters (that number is now 12), leading all of FCS. Penn was next among the Ivies with four, followed by Brown, Columbia and Princeton with two each and Cornell and Dartmouth at one apiece.
Moreover, #IvyFootball alums
Bill O’Brien (Brown) and
Jason Garrett (Princeton) return as head coaches of the Texans and Cowboys, respectively, while a number of former Ivy standouts serve as assistant coaches and front office personnel around the NFL.
