PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League has again increased its television presence for #IvyFootball, with a League-record 22 games featuring all eight schools across five networks in 2017.
“We are proud to once again showcase Ivy League football on the national stage and continue our relationship with NBC,” said Ivy League Executive Director Robin Harris. “This year’s schedule features multiple national television appearances from all eight programs and will entertain fans throughout the 10-week race for the Ivy League title.”
The package includes at least one national broadcast each week of the season over the conference's 10-week campaign. Six games of those broadcasts will be live on the NBC family of networks over the conference's 10-week season, including with five on NBCSN and Harvard at Yale on Nov. 18 on CNBC. The remaining 16 contests will air on NESN (four games), the Comcast Network (two) and Eleven Sports (10).
The Ivy League Network (ILN) will have full coverage of the Ivy football season, broadcasting over 30 games live throughout the season. For ILN broadcast information, click here.
Games airing on Eleven will also be carried live on ILN.
The NBCSN slate begins on Sept. 29 with Dartmouth at Penn and concludes on Saturday, Nov. 18 with The Game, when Yale hosts Harvard. Four of those matchups will take place on Friday night, highlighted by Dartmouth vs. Brown at Fenway Park on Nov. 10. For NBCSN channel listings, click here.
The 2017 season marks the 10th-straight year of the partnership between the Ivy League and the NBC Sports Group. Over the nine previous seasons, the NBC family of networks have televised 47 Ivy football matchups, with 43 on NBCSN, featuring all eight schools.
The Ivy League’s package on Eleven begins with San Diego at Princeton on Sept. 16, followed by nine-straight weeks of conference matchups. For complete channel listings, click here.
The season will culminate with the annual Bushnell Cup Presentation, honoring the League’s Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, on Dec. 4 at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City. The event will be broadcast live and free on ILN.
ABOUT THE IVY LEAGUE
The Ivy League is the most diverse intercollegiate conference in the country with more than 8,000 student-athletes competing each year. Sponsoring conference championships in 33 men's and women's sports and averaging more than 35 varsity teams at each school, the Ivy League provides more intercollegiate athletic opportunities per school than any other conference in the country. All eight Ivy schools are among the top 20 of NCAA Division I schools in number of sports offered for both men and women and enjoy regular competitive success at the highest championship levels of NCAA Division I athletics.
The League’s schools -- Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale -- share a rich history of success and influence in college athletics, dating back to the origins of intercollegiate competition. Ivy League institutions have won 287 team national championships and 579 individual national championships since intercollegiate competition began. The Ivy League conference was formally established in 1954, based on the mutual agreement that intercollegiate athletics competition should be "kept in harmony with the essential educational purposes of the institution."
