Kathryn Attar were named the Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively. Harris led Princeton to its first win at Yale since 2007 to help the Tigers remain unbeaten in League play.
LEAGUE NOTES
- Reigning Ivy League champion Princeton paces the Ancient Eight with a 10-3 overall record—and 3-0 League mark. On Sept. 30, the Tigers earned their first victory in New Haven since 2007, defeating Yale (3-1; 23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-22).
- Yale has won 56 of its last 58 Ivy League home matches.
- Harvard also claims a perfect 3-0 Ivy League record as part of an 8-4 overall mark, setting up a potential meeting of unbeaten teams at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, in Princeton, N.J. Princeton first hosts Dartmouth at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, while Harvard travels to Penn.
- For the second-straight year, the Ivy League boasts a .500-or-better non-conference winning percentage. The League is 42-33 (.560) against non-conference opposition this season, after going 41-40 (.506) a year ago.
- Eight Ivies are hitting .300-or-better, led by Columbia sophomore middle blocker Chichi Ikwuazom (.397) and Princeton junior middle blocker Nnenna Ibe (.373). Ikwuazom (29th) ranks among the national leaders in the category.
- Princeton sophomore outside hitter Natasha Skov continues to pace the Ancient Eight with 3.67 kills per set and 4.09 points per set, while Tiger sophomore setter Jessie Harris leads the League and sits 40th nationally with 10.73 assists per set. As a team, Princeton ranks 37th nationally with a .769 winning percentage and 40th with 13.00 assists per set.
- Cornell also boasts a pair of category leaders in sophomore middle blocker Jenna Phelps and senior libero Kiley McPeek. Phelps averages 1.34 blocks per set to top the Ancient Eight and rank 38th nationally. McPeek leads the League with 4.73 digs per set.
- Columbia sophomore setter Grace Campbell averages .49 service aces per set to top the Ivy League and rank 18th in NCAA Division I. As a team, the Lions rank third nationally with 1.89 aces per set.
- Dartmouth is holding its opponents to a .165 hitting percentage, which ranks 38th in NCAA Division I.

Behind a 49-assist effort from sophomore setter
Jessie Harris, Princeton registered its first victory at Yale since 2007. Entering the match, Yale had won 18-straight Ivy League home matches and 55 of its last 56, with its last home loss coming during the 2014 campaign.
Harris tallied 82 assists on the week, while hitting .538 en route to seven kills. The Newport Beach, Calif., product recorded back-to-back double-doubles with 33 assists and 13 digs at Brown on Sept. 29 and 49 assists and 14 digs at Yale on Sept. 30. She helped the Tigers hit .292 on the weekend, while dolling out 11.71 assists per set.
Harris claims her first Player of the Week award and is Princeton’s second award recipient this season, joining fellow sophomore
Natasha Skov (Sept. 11). Harris was previously honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Oct. 10, 2016.

Kathryn Attar earns her first collegiate accolade just one month into her Yale career.
The Tampa, Fla., native—who has appeared in every set for the Bulldogs this season—hit .297, while tallying 26 kills on the weekend. The freshman outside hitter also added 22 digs, five blocks, three assists and three service aces. Attar recorded her second career double-double with a career-high 19 kills and 10 digs in a 3-1 victory over Penn on Sept. 29. She then added seven kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 losing effort against Princeton on Sept. 30.
Attar is Yale’s first Rookie of the Week honoree since
Kelley Wirth was honored on Oct. 20, 2015. Wirth was a Second Team All-Ivy selection as a rookie in 2015 and earned an All-Ivy Honorable Mention nod last season.
